The Bluegrass Situation debuts the all NEW title track from David Quinn, “Letting Go”

Artist: David Quinn
Hometown: Woodridge, Illinois
Song: “Letting Go”
Album: Letting Go
Release Date: October 23, 2020

In Their Words: “The song ‘Letting Go’ is what really got the whole record going for me. It put everything in perspective about what I was trying to say with the album. It all started with that opening line, ‘I’m letting go of everything that’s holding me down.’ I was dealing with a bunch of things at the moment, and I just needed to let it all go. I had a headache for about six months straight, and I reference that in the song: ‘My head, it hurts/Lord you know I’m spinnin’ around.’

The new song  “If It Could Cry, We Would Surely Drown In Its Tears’ comes from their forthcoming new EP album Artifact, releasing on October 30th. You could say the music on Artifact has had a circular journey, as the material was written and mostly recorded around 2006 as the band underwent changes where life got in the way of making art, until now. Glide Magazine debuts NEW single from Dylan Chambers, calling it “a slinky funk workout that seizes the rhythmic worlds of Bruno Mars and Prince”

Spinning up a string of new singles with longtime producer, Stefan Litrownik (Boyz II Men, Andy Grammer), Chambers is raring to garner the charm of timeless classics, having no scruples about citing modern stalwarts, such as Vulfpeck, Jacob Collier, Devon Gilfilian and all who are concerned with preserving the sanctity of soul. In the past, he’s collaborated with producer John Alagía (John Mayer, Herbie Hancock), critically acclaimed singer Haley Reinhart (American Idol, F is for Family), Mark Ballas (Dancing with the Stars) and Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum jazz artist Dave Koz.

In advance of that release date, Quinn and his team have graciously allowed us to premiere one of the singles from the project, “Ride On,”  just a little early.
