David Burchfield is out with a beautiful new song “You’re OK, It’s Alright.” Perfect for the current state of the world, the song brings some peace of mind to listeners. Even though it’s acoustic, it’s an anthem in it’s own way. It’s a song about carrying on and not only telling yourself that it will be alright, but believing it.

The song starts off with a soothing guitar that will captivate you right away. The vocals are soft and soothing throughout the song. It’s comforting to hear the message with this style of vocal delivery. The lyrics are haunting and deep going into the topic of a near death experience that happened to David Burchfield while riding a scooter in Colorado where he was attending graduate school.  READ MORE…

On the latest single from the Brooklyn by way of Boston songwriter, Radiator King’s Adam Silvestri channels Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen for “Out in the Night.” Radiator King often bring heartland rock soul to gritty punk, but “Out in the Night” is a barebones folk-inspired rock song, based around acoustic guitar and piano. The song about bidding farewell to a lover before embarking on a personal journey reflects on the difficulty and weight of the goodbyes that turn you to “strangers in the night.” READ MORE…

Country Rebel debuts Neon Moon’s new video for “Dive Bar Romance”

Country Rebel has debuted Neon Moon’s new video for “Dive Bar Romance,” shot by production team Coyote Kills (Wille Nelson, Shovels and Rope, Margo Price) in Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, Mexico.

“Dive Bar Romance”—a laidback, feel-good track recorded at Nashville studio Forty-One Fifteen with producer/bassist Taylor Bray (Dan + Shay)—was inspired in large part by the Bohannons’ days spent hanging at legendary Nashville hole-in-the-wall Dino’s.

In gorgeously saturated hues, the music video depicts falling in love both with a bar, and in a bar. It’s a perfect pool/beach-side drinking song for summer. Check it out here.

QRO Magazine weighs in on Goliathan’s Albion EP, out on vinyl May 29

Goliathan is a decently named metal extravaganza and what better way than with a Latin name and a mythic history narrative for doom metal. After all, most sludge bands pay homage to the darkness of politics rather than suffering for suffering only. Either that, or they cross deftly into stoner rock as instrumental bands, and Goliathan is an instrumental group for now.

What can really be said of a sludge instrumental band beyond being “trippy”? Well, for starters, Goliathan is still dark, and sounds like a band for vocals. Whether they are or not, the Albion EP is filled with emotional dark and drum fills worthy of any stadium, metal or otherwise. READ MORE…
