Oz’s new album, the self-produced Growing Pains aims to consolidate Oz’s talent into a caravan of styles and emotions, melding elements of soul, rock n’ roll, and jazz to her ever-growing sonic palette.
The Bluegrass Situation has debuted Bill Filipiak’s new single “Conesus Lake.” The song is a meditative, acoustic country-blues track inspired by the refuge and healing the songwriter has found at his family’s Upstate New York retreat. Even more than that, Filipiak explains, “Conesus Lake” represents a state of mind—that place you go when you need to be introspective, put things behind you and start over again.

L.A.-based pop, funk-soul guitarist/vocalist Dylan Chambers is a one-man band whose newest effort “Me Vs. Me” beautifully captures his energetic persona and commanding vocals. The vibrant funky track sees Chambers going against himself as he aims to be the better person for all intent and purposes. He makes use of producer Stefan Litrownik‘s bright textures, earworm funky guitar riffs, and rousing drum grooves that blend perfectly with his bold melodic runs and soulful harmonies. The record is quite arresting with it’s retro-modern aesthetics and uber funky vocal projections.
