Earlier this year, singer-songwriter Brad Byrd released the track “That Great Feeling,” a single off his forthcoming album Phases. Now Byrd has shared an official video for the track, premiering below.

Byrd and director Alfredo Vidal shot the scenic video in the small city of Big Bear Lake, CA. As Byrd describes it, the video seeks to capture the track’s “loose and lyrical narrative about being trapped and haunted by memories of idyllic times, while also being consumed by a loss of love and the frustration that goes with it.”

Nicholas Mudd’s Single “High Lonesome” Premieres on Americana Highways

Americana Highways presents a premiere of “High Lonesome,” a song from Nicholas Mudd’s self-titled debut, due out on April 12th.   “High Lonesome” is Nicholas Mudd on vocals and acoustic guitar; Lydia Luce on fiddle; Matt Pynn on pedal steel guitar; Iain Weigert on electric guitar; Michael Gomes on bass, Travis Popichak on drums with Paige Calico on backing vocals.  Nicholas Mudd was produced by Eric Rennaker and recorded at Bedrock, LA.

Americana UK Reviews Andrew Leahey’s “Airwaves” Album

Leahey sees himself as being in the tradition of FM rock and the clue is very much in the title, with Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen offered as the most obvious comparisons.  It’s not hard to see why and certainly if you like that top-down, air in your hair feeling then this might be the one for you – it is no doubt well sung and well played with plenty of guitar soloing.
